Christmas party.
December 8th, 2003
I think I am getting sick. I've been feeling dizzy the past few days, but today I have the barest edge of a sore throat as well. Chris is getting a nice cough and has had a sore throat for ages so he I am sure is on the downslope as well.
We went to my work Christmas party tonight. For some reason I couldn't find any clothing that I liked, and the new black trousers I bought that looked so great two weeks ago had metamorphosed into Frump City. We left a little later than I had wanted because I just couldn't decide on what to wear. I ended up with the trousers, and a sparkly top I wore to a party last year. I wore my contact lenses and a lot of people didn't recognise me...at least 5 people there. That blows me away. I guess it is true, that people see the glasses and not the face behind them.
After the party, Chris and I went to Futureshop to pick up Knights of the Old Republic. We've just installed it on the new computer and downloaded the patch but it has crashed twice already so I think we will put it on this older computer that has a better graphics card. But not tonight, I am too tired. Off for a bath to get warm and then to bed.
Currently Reading:
- The Thief's Gamble by Juliet E. McKenna.
If I am allowed to lie (or if a snatched sentence or two counts), then I am also reading:
- Dawnthief by James Barclay. (I just realised I've had the title wrong for ages).
- Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice.
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling.
Books I have Read Lately:
- I have updated my reading list to reflect all the books I read while I was away from the journal. I'll fill in my thoughts as I go.
