Me
My name is Kate. I am in my early thirties and I am a Demonstrator/Technician in the Anthropology department at a small university in Ontario. This means I am generally: (a) teaching labs; (b) marking; (c) supervising graduate students who are teaching and/or marking; (d) researching/cataloguing collections; (e) drinking tea; (f) preparing carcasses; (g) doing some random one-off thing like surveying a site or constructing a mouse trap for rodent removal. I love my job.
I bought a new house in April of 2007 with my husband Chris, and we are looking forwards to finishing the basement and putting in a deck and gardens. We have two cats, Tia and Rollie.
I have a twin sister named Weener, and a brother named Kevin, who has an awesome wife named Christine and together they have two of the best nephews an auntie could ever ask for, Devin and Kurtis.
The Site
I have been writing on the web in one form or another since July 1998. I used to be known as Ceit, because I was rather leery of having my real name out there on the Internet, and it was the age of mysterious pseudonyms. I always say I am going to get my ancient archives over to this site and never do. I am sure you can figure out where they are with some judicious googling, otherwise if you are super desperate, drop me a line and I will send a link.
I don’t write as often as I would like as I am usually occupied with my job or have my nose in a book.
