Merry Christmas Katie me darlin'! How was your X-mas? Did you get your tree decorated? When Conor was a baby there were a lot of things we just didn't get around to doing that first year. I'm not surprised to hear about the tree. Ha ha.

Love you lots. By-the-way, the NWMO (Nuclear Waste Management Organization) -- the company wanting to hire Alec -- is conducting a Federal security check on him and we should hear in the New Year. Of course they have told him the job is his, but he has to clear this check before they can officially offer it to him. Hence, Alec hasn't quit his job here and we haven't told anyone except my family and his (and you too!). But, since Alec is pretty sure he's never been a Libyan sympathizer or anything like that, he'll clear the security check just fine.

That's when the "fun" will start. Although I'm okay with moving to Ontario, I'm not looking forward to the move because I just know I'm going to have to have the dings in the house fixed and everything sorted, junked or packed in extremely short order. I don't like being rushed. I'll have to find fun "jobs" for Conor to do and keep him occupied. Packing and sorting the "Good Will" piles is a good one. I am sure Alec will be expecting to see progress at the end of each day, plus a hot meal, wish me luck because I haven't been bursting with energy lately. On the plus side, I don't have a job outside the home and I LOVE organizing so I have a plan and if I stick to it I should be okay. I'm up for the challenge.

Sorry this is so blabby; and sorry if I sound like a whiny old cout, it's just that right now the next few weeks seem quite daunting. One more rant: I'm a bit concerned about how we are going to find a new house. We haven't decided. Either we fly out before we move and take a week to look or we move and Conor and I live in Kingston while Alec stays in TO with his brother and I drive there on the weekends to so we can house hunt. Ugh. Talk to you later. xoxoxoxox
