Progress.

We’re really pleased at what we’ve been able to accomplish this summer on the house. We’ve installed a fence, built a patio, had the driveway paved, built a front flower bed, and then today when I got home, I saw that Chris had started installing the porch railing. I am very excited, it’s looking great. Now all I need to do is get some plants in the garden.

For one of our vacation stops we went to Camp Fortune to crawl around in the trees at an aerial obstacle course. It was a lot of fun, and nicely challenging in spots. Chris, my brother Kevin, and nephews had an absolute blast doing it, they kept trying to out-do each other by doing things with no hands and such.

And just for variety, here is a slightly tetchy, home from first day of work after vacation photo. Bah. Oh, and I almost forgot – eyes haven’t changed much, my right eye is one line weaker than the left and it can’t be corrected by prescription. It’s super annoying because when I get tired and have to read, it feels like my eyes are fighting each other. I picked out new frames and I hope I don’t regret them. I think they are either cute or horribly frumpy.

Bah.

Breaking news: Just found out the ferry that we used and loved so well in Greece sustained damage due to high winds and is now stuck on Kythera awaiting repairs! News article here.
