Hello! It’s been a while! I got a little overwhelmed with work and end of term and some weird personal things but I think I have gotten everything under control.

I fully expect to look like this for most of the day…posture smosture!
I survived the end of term, barely. I think my whole body went into shock mode and then I crashed. My job is now full-time which means I will be working all summer as a technician. I have been working the past week or so on my documentation plans (apart from a little excursion setting a grid at the new field school archaeology site – wow the bugs are out!) and procedures but now I have jumped into some prototyping of my databases. I am really looking forwards to it – a welcome change from marking!
Today I am doing data entry until I can’t stand it any more.
In other news, I am going to Greece again to finish off the AntiK survey project. I am going for three weeks from the middle of June into the beginning of July. It will be a lot of fun and I am looking forwards to it. I guess that is odd that I am taking on some hard work for a holiday, but it really makes a difference to get away. No phones or internet or computers really at all. Just sun and thyme and the cool evening breeze and stars at the end of the day. Yay!
The new house is great – we failed 2 minor inspection things but they are fixed now. So we are basically waiting patiently for the final grading, topsoil and sod. Then I can start mucking about in the gardens. My ride to work is pretty quick although there is a very long hill on the way home. I am thinking I will add a loop in on the way home to build up kilometres as I miss the longer ride. My thighs will thank me, I am sure.
What else…
My burn is doing much much better.
Here it is on May 1st:

And here is is today:

As you can see it’s totally normal skin now except for being discoloured – I think that is because the outer layers of my skin are gone and the deeper layers are showing through now. I shall have to make sure I put sunscreen on!
Ok back to work!
