Dead babies for all.

January 23rd 2007 03:19 pm

New dead baby for Conor!

I have been working on a little hand sewing and I present to you the newest Dead Baby. For those just tuning in, they were named because my cat Tia would drag around a little cat doll I had made in grade 7 by the neck, bringing it to bed with her, and meowing to it like a mother cat does to her kittens. She also has a habit of leaving them sprawled around the house in various agonised poses, so we started calling them her “dead babies”.

In any event, I had made a dead baby for my friend Lisa ages ago when we were in grad school, and her year-old son has just discovered it and loves it. Unfortunately, dead babies as I normally make them have button eyes, so that doesn’t go so well with inquisitive little men who like to pick and chew. So here is the child-safe version of the dead baby!

Meh.

Not much else to report. Today I paid a second visit to a new house we might be buying, was paid a visit in turn by textbook reps, prepared some assignments, organised a giant pile of despair in my office (despair levels reduced by at least 20% now), and now I am going to prep for tomorrow’s lectures. I feel like I am forgetting to do something…oh yes, I must get a marking key done ASAP. Onward!
