The craziness is seeping.
December 13th 2005
Today there was a marked change in the air. Yesterday I was too busy invigilating alternate exams and trying to get marking schemes developed to notice, but today it became definitely apparent…the holiday craziness is here.
Everyone is just on the insane edge of frazzled, trying to get projects wrapped up by the end of term, yet at the same time, productivity and focus have gone out the window…it’s the pre-holiday twilight zone.
I spent all of today marking 10 assignments and listing 100 marks for those I have done this week – interspersed with:

eating Panettone watching a home movie about a home-made trebuchet watching Georgian beer commercials (Aluda!) playing (and losing) a game of Magic eating chocolate writing up a mark rubric dispatching 4 parcels of marking drinking 4 large cups of tea giving and marking last year’s anth 100 exam to people working in the lab, who are so desperate to do something other than thesis/research/editing that they will take a 1st year exam for fun (well, that and bragging rights)! doing a couple words of French translation for an article checking email 5 million times playing with Remote Desktop talking about the Glenayr Kitten Factory, the Diefenbunker, Balderson cheese, and Wayne Rostadt with Adam |
