Another long day of marking, not much exciting to report on that front. I made Panettone last night and brought half the loaf to work today. It was received with much acclaim and devoured with much enjoyment.
Most of the day I was in the lab marking, James was there and Carrie was working on the computer in the back as well. We were all in kind of weird moods, so there was bits of banter, that would suddenly cease as one would get sucked back in to whatever task is at hand.
So it was a day of rather attenuated conversations, and all in all rather scattered.
I’m typing this on the laptop that I spent most of my Master’s with – it’s kind of odd to be using this computer again, almost 3 years later. Mum dropped it off last time she was through because it’s being tempermental, I’ve reformatted and reinstalled everything. It’s still flaky but in some ways it’s an old friend.
Tomorrow – yet more marking, and maybe another game of magic at lunch. That will be something nice to look forwards to.
