Not very interesting to anyone other than me.

July 28th, 2003

Well I found out today that I will have an office! Yay! The only problem is I don't have a computer. This I hope will be resolved because they hired me specifically to keep track of things on the computer, and sharing the three grad student computers is not realistic.

I am going to be a Teaching Assistant, but more of one than when you are a graduate student. I will be running tutorials for about 600 students and handling the marking of the exams (Scantron, thank goodness) and assignments. I think I will be running 5 a week, and also helping students who are having trouble. I hope this job is fun.

Weener found out that she got the apartment, so now all she needs to hear is if her job will be keeping her on past Labour Day. I think they will, but she really wants to know. She's learning that it's really hard to plan ahead when you don't know if you will have a job or not.

On the Plate:

I have a stew simmering on the stove right now for supper. I hope it's good. I took an onion and some mushrooms and chopped them and sauteed them in oil. I added two good spoonfuls of Masala curry paste and let it cook until fragrant. I then added a diced chicken breast, some chickpeas and a can of tomatoes and a diced red pepper. This I simmered for a couple hours. I will add rice at the end and simmer it until it is cooked. I think it will be good.

Approaching Kilter is on a little hiatus because I haven't been on the bike lately due to some knee problems.

Books I have Read Lately:

(All links go through Amazon.ca because of the affiliate program with The Usual Suspects. I spend so much time on there, that this is the least I can do.)
